| Arts On 7th was conceived
after a designer friend asked me about renting space in 2004. I owned a rooming house, with unusual characters for tenants, so why not rent to artists? Phyllis Stone and Elizabeth Wannacott were pioneers; their neighbors were day jobbers and pensioners. Those roomers have since moved on. Our two story red brick building (vintage 1906) is now a retreat for fifteen artists. As a community we share two values: Respect for each other and respect for our own creative process and vision. Other than that, the main thing we have in common is that we're uniquely (and wildly) expressive. Twice a year at Arts On 7th, we fling open our doors to the world. We show off our recent works of art in an open studio with live music, refreshments and laughter. Please feel free to visit then, or by contacting individual artists for appointments at other times. Thanks for visiting this website. ![]() |
