My work is simply about the use
of form, color, and paint to
create something with which the
viewer responds.
Breaking down the visual world
into a series of basic shapes, I
use these as frames to hold
color. The frames merge to
represent the natural world, a
captured moment, or a human
experience.
The figures generally remain
faceless to insure that
expression is created through
posture and that they represent
a universality rather than an
individuality.
It’s my hope that within these
enigmatic works the viewer finds
the majesty and fragility of
nature and the human qualities
of humility and grace.
