The human figure is a source of endless fascination and variation -- of interest to most everyone. What people do in their daily lives, how they look and dress, how they move and act can cause us to notice them or not. But we can change much about the human image, and we still recognize it as human. We can change the color, often some of the shapes and we still know the shape --it is US. And I like to think that painting the figure in an expressionistic style can bring an emotional content to the work. It does for me.
